NAPERY HEM
A hem, sometimes called the French hem, used on table linens and handkerchiefs, blending with the threads of the material and having the same appearance both on the right and wrong sides of the fabric after laundering. The hem is creased on the fold, and secured in position by means of fine overhand stitches.
